Lecture Theatre and Seminar Room

Veterinary Lecture TheatreIn addition to being a 24 hour emergency vet hospital, our 24 hour veterinary hospital is fortunate to house a 50 person lecture theatre used for both internal and external vet training. Typical uses include training for our emergency vet and emergency vet nursing staff, as well as courses for external vet and vet nursing staff.

The theatre has a 3 metre square viewing wall which allows for a crystal clear projection from the ceiling mounted digital data projector.

The room is fully air-conditioned and can comfortably take groups of up to 50 people for theatre-style  lecture formats. Our 24 hour veterinary hospital has an adjoining room which can be used for catering and breaks with larger groups without disturbing the fully functional 24 hour emergency vet hospital in which the seminar room is housed.

The room is also well suited to smaller groups with a simple change of seating configuration for longer periods. Groups of 12-20 use the room for an entire day, or even a weekend.

Our 24 hour emergency vet hospital hosts regular veterinary education seminars on a range of topics, as well as external seminars and lectures from time to time. These education opportunities are for both regular and emergency vet staff alike, as well as for veterinary nurses. These are hosted by both veterinary training providers as well as veterinary wholesalers, manufacturers and other service providers functioning in the veterinary and pet care industry.

On occasion the seminar training room is used in conjunction with our 24 hour emergency vet hospital equipment to provide a more immersive training experience. This allows participants to benefit from both a dedicated and separate discussion area as well as from select facilities within a functional veterinary hospital.

The lecture theatre is available to vets and veterinary industry businesses and organisations, subject to availability. If you would like to enquire about use of the lecture facility, please do not hesitate to contact the Centre on (03) 9532 5261 or contact us with a general enquiry.
