Physio Now Available Every Weekday at SARC
1 February 2007
Seeing a fully qualified animal (and human!) physiotherapist has never been easier at the Southern Animal Referral Centre. Physiotherapy services are now available every day of the week with new time slots on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Clients and their pets now have access to the outpatient physiotherapy service every day of the week. This extension opens up more appointment times for both underwater treadmill (UWTM) hydrotherapy sessions and physiotherapy consultations. All consultations are run by fully qualified animal and human physiotherapists. Animal physiotherapists must have completed training to the Master degree level and have spent at least 8 years actively in the physiotherapy field. All animal physiotherapists are already fully qualified human physiotherapists.
More hours means even greater flexibility for owners wishing to receive the gold standard in rehabilitation. Whether your pet has had surgery at the Southern Animal Referral Centre or at another veterinary clinic or hospital, you have access to a wealth of physiotherapy experience and the only underwater treadmill (UWTM) in a veterinary centre in Australia.
Physiotherapy is highly effective for both post-surgery rehabilitation and degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis. Should you wish to learn more about the physiotherapy service, please visit the physiotherapy page on this website or the Dogs in Motion website. Alternatively, please feel free to contact the Centre by email at enquiries@sarc.com.au or on (03) 9532 5261.
