More Physio, More Flexibility!

Seeing a fully qualified animal (and human!) physiotherapist has never been easier at the Southern Animal Referral Centre. Physiotherapy services are now available every day of the week!

Ever wanted more from your physiotherapist? Well, now your pet will not have the same challenge. In addition to the highly flexible inpatient physiotherapy service already available at the Southern Animal Referral Centre, clients and their pets now have access to the outpatient physiotherapy service every weekday.

All physiotherapy consultations are run by fully qualified animal and human physiotherapists. To reach this level all physiotherapists have completed training to the Master degree level and have spent at least 8 years actively in the physiotherapy field.

This provides even greater flexibility for owners wishing to receive the gold standard in rehabilitation. Whether your pet has had surgery at the Southern Animal Referral Centre or at another veterinary clinic or hospital, you have access to a wealth of physiotherapy experience and the first underwater treadmill (UWTM) in a veterinary centre in Australia, and the only Australian designed and Australian made treadmill in the country.

Physiotherapy is highly effective for both post-surgery rehabilitation and degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis.
