Lecture Theatre Makeover Complete

20 July 2009

The Southern Animal Referral Centre lecture theatre has hosted numerous events over the past 5 years. The theatre has now received a well-needed makeover making it an even better venue for veterinary continuing education.

Our lecture theatre has been visited by hundreds of veterinarians and nurses as well as numerous industry and pet community groups over the past few years. After numerous events the well-used room was in bad need of a spruce up.

Thanks to some wonderful help from local signage company Briner Total Signage Solutions, the artwork in the room received a welcome update to reflect the ‘happier’ side of veterinary medicine. Images of medical procedures have now been replaced with far more pleasant pictures of our patients at play, enjoying the fruits of treatment from both their regular vets and the referral centre departments.

Upgraded audio visual facilities have also been upgraded with a higher resolution projector with a sharper and brighter image being installed. Medical imagery can now be viewed in deeper, richer contrast and diagnostic nuances can be far more easily seen without the need to crowd around a small computer screen.

The room has also enjoyed a new coat of paint and is of course still fully air-conditioned with dimmable lighting for any occasion. We are very much looking forward to inviting vets, nurses and allied community groups back to our facility to enjoy the benefits of the refurbishment.

If you would be interested in using the room, please contact the Southern Animal Referral Centre on (03) 9532 5261. On most occasions the room is provided free of charge to veterinarians, nurses and veterinary/pet industry groups. Free use of the facility is just another way we continue to work alongside other veterinary professionals to make the industry better for all concerned.
