Emergency Inpatients Now Receiving 24 Hour Dedicated Care
20 January 2007 The Southern Animal Emergency Centre has extended its hours to provide 24 hour dedicated support for emergency inpatients. The Centre has taken a significant step forward in flexibility and quality of care for patients and their referring vets. Effective immediately, the emergency Centre now has fully qualified day nurses to exclusively manage emergency patients on weekdays. This is in addition to the fully staffed after-hours and weekend emergency service. Veterinary staff are already present at the Centre 24 hours a day. This new service provides the flexibility for patients to stay at the Centre to avoid unnecessary transport or to accommodate time and availability demands of owners and referring vets. We trust that this service will be seen as beneficial for all and look forward to continuing to provide a comprehensive and complementary emergency service to clients and primary care veterinarians. |
