Amott, Mark

Mr Mark Amott is the business manager at the Southern Animal Emergency Centre.

Mark has a background in larger corporate settings in IT and has transitioned to veterinary practice management through a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Mt Eliza Business School, Melbourne, Australia.

Mark has drawn heavily on both his strong practical knowledge of the veterinary industry, gained through lifelong exposure to veterinary practice through family ties, as well as his corporate IT experience to develop the business since its conception in 2002.

Mark has been instrumental in coordinating the development of a care strategy which allows for advanced care and services under one roof. The Southern Animal Emergency Centre has grown from an out-of-hours emergency centre housing a not only an emergency centre, but also a specialist surgery department, Victoria’s first commercial CT scanner for pets and Australia’s first deep radiation therapy facility for cats and dogs. Continued investment has seen the Centre become arguably one of Australia’s best-equipped small animal vet centres since its opening in late 2003.
