Chemotherapy Ward

The Southern Animal Referral Centre has a dedicated veterinary chemotherapy ward suitable for both dogs and cats. This separate ward allows for the administration of chemotherapeutics away from other animals, minimising the risk of that other animals or humans will come into contact with dangerous substances.

A separate ward allows for the full monitoring of patients in a safe environment during and subsequent to the administration of chemotherapy. This allows for a safe recovery of chemotherapy patients away from the hustle and bustle of the general ward.
